My babbles have turned to actual sounds and some might even say they've turned to words...words like Dadadada according to Dad (and reluctantly backed up by Mom - and this video)

2 Teeth + 2 Food Groups + 2 New Noises = 6 Months Old!
I'm officially half a year old, I weigh 15 pounds 5 ounces and am 2 feet 1 inch tall (25-30th percentile). Major changes have been taking place lately.
#1 - I got my first two teeth last week!! Both are on the bottom and they look really cool. (see for yourself)
#2 - I have mastered fruits and vegetables, favoring things in the orange/neutral color family and not being a big fan of things from the green camp. Next up...mixed fruits, veggies and turkey for Thanksgiving next week!
#3 - Perhaps the most exciting new skill I have recently discovered is my voice. I have gone from grunts and crying to squealing and the beginnings of "words" - it sounds like bababababa, but I am starting to understand how to open my mouth and make new noises. I sorta look like an old man with no teeth, but don't judge...I'm learning

Lots of things I can't eat in October...
While I have started eating "real" food, there are far more yummy looking things that my parents are withholding from me...take cider and cinnamon donuts for example, or how about all that delicious candy Jackson got on Halloween...at this point I would settle for a bite of one of those stupid goldfish crackers. As you can gather, I'm really into eating - it's WAY better than living on liquid alone! So far, my favorites are squash and sweet potatoes - I could do without the peas and I'm a little overwhelmed by the sweetness of the pears. I'm supposed to eat half a container per meal, but I've been known to eat the entire thing fairly often - hope Mom doesn't get yelled at next week by the pediatrician for that because I'll be pissed if I get cut off (oh, and I don't want Mom to get in trouble).
They dressed me up like a ladybug for Halloween, stuck me in my bumbo for what seemed like 4,000 pictures then strolled me around the neighborhood in the cold so my brother could get a bunch of candy...not cool. About 30 minutes in, I threw a mini-fit (a little fussing) and Mom took me home where I got out of that stupid outfit and into my warm bed! I bet next year I will feel a lot different about this holiday...

How fast things change
While it has only been a couple weeks since my last post, so much has changed...
I have figured out how to really eat my cereal and have tried rice & barley flavors (Barley is by far the best one to date) and I am going on two weeks straight of sleeping through the night! I am honestly the best sleeper ever - out like a light between 7-8pm and not a peep until 6-7am, not even a thunderstorm or a crying brother can wake me up!
My next task to master is the exer-saucer. I discovered that I can sit up, look around the entire room and have multiple toys at my fingertips - this thing is amazing. I really want to be able to sit up on my own, so this will help me until I can figure that out too.
I can't wait to see what the next couple weeks will bring - maybe sitting up, maybe eating vegetables, maybe getting a tooth...you'll have to check back and see.

4 Months Old
I've hit the 4 month old mark and I just keep getting bigger and more fun by the day! I'm still on the small side at 12 pounds, 12 oz. and 23.4" tall (10-25th percentile).
However, I have mastered holding my head up so the doctor cleared me for cereal...that's right people I'm ready for food!! I don't know if I like this cereal stuff, but I've only tried it twice, so I guess I'll reserve final judgement for a few more days.
As with every doctor visit, there's some bad news too...this time, in addition to getting two shots, the doctor said I no longer need to eat in the middle of the night which puts a damper on my 3am wake-up time. Boo.
